I was born in late 1990. My earliest memories are from around '93 or '94. My favorite shows as a young child included Carebears (of which I still have a few VHS tapes) and others that showed on kid-friendly cable before '96 or so. I remember being excited about the Doug movie. I remember that I became interested in video games because a friend of mine had Pokemon Red and a Gameboy- but wasn't allowed to let me play because his mom had told him not to, we weren't more than 8 or 9. I remember my first Pokemon cards, and my first game- I had to split the deck because I just had the one and it was all the cards I had at the time. I remeber saying Digimon was copying Pokemon when it came out. I remember a rec center with a snack bar that sold Ring Pops for 25 cents, and how my friends and I would hang out there with about 5 bucks worth of ring pops, lounging on their couches and being silly with the candy- we pretended we were rich people with gigantic rings, or babies and the ring pops were pacifiers, and it was just plain fun.
